The best time to think about your HVAC system is before something goes wrong. The Carriage Comfort Club ensures your equipment receives professional maintenance on schedule, while providing valuable benefits that save you money and protect your investment year-round.
Members enjoy priority service, repair discounts, and exclusive guarantees that non-members simply don’t receive. Choose the plan that fits your needs—all include professional maintenance from trained technicians who know your system’s history.
A well-maintained system operates more efficiently. Clean coils, proper refrigerant charge, and calibrated controls mean your equipment uses less energy to deliver the same comfort. Members typically save enough on utilities to offset their membership cost.
HVAC systems are significant investments. Professional maintenance can add years to your equipment’s lifespan by preventing the accumulated wear that leads to premature failure.

Most manufacturers require professional maintenance to keep warranties valid. Our documented service history protects your coverage and provides records if you ever need warranty service.
Membership spreads maintenance costs across the year, and repair discounts reduce unexpected expenses. You’ll know what to expect instead of hoping nothing breaks.
Most HVAC failures in Greater Savannah don’t happen without warning. Components wear gradually, refrigerant leaks slowly, and electrical connections loosen over time. Regular professional maintenance identifies these issues while they’re still minor—before they become midnight emergencies.

By the time Savannah’s first truly hot day hits, every HVAC company in the Lowcountry is slammed. Homeowners who waited are waiting longer—sometimes days—while those who scheduled spring maintenance are already comfortable.
A spring tune-up prepares your cooling system for seven months of heavy operation. It’s not just about preventing breakdowns (though it does that). It’s about ensuring your system runs at peak efficiency when efficiency matters most—during the months when your cooling costs are highest.
Outdoor Unit Service We clean your condenser coil to remove the dust, pollen, and debris that accumulated over winter. Dirty coils force your system to work harder, driving up energy costs and accelerating wear. We inspect the fan motor and blades for balance and damage, check refrigerant levels and inspect for leaks, verify electrical connections are tight and corrosion-free, and test capacitors that can fail without warning in summer heat.
Indoor System Inspection We inspect and clean your evaporator coil (when accessible), test airflow across the system, clear and treat your condensate drain line to prevent mid-summer clogs and water damage, inspect your ductwork for visible leaks and disconnections, and verify your blower motor is operating correctly.
Controls and Safety We test thermostat calibration and operation, verify proper cycling and temperature response, inspect all electrical connections and tighten as needed, and test safety controls that protect your equipment and your home.
We measure supply and return temperatures to verify proper cooling output, document refrigerant pressures and system performance, check amp draws against manufacturer specifications, and identify any components showing wear before they fail.
Why Spring Timing Matters
Refrigerant leaks that developed over winter won’t reveal themselves until you need cooling. Capacitors weakened by age will fail when thermal stress hits. Condensate drains clogged with algae will overflow when humidity peaks. Spring maintenance catches these issues while they’re still minor—and while technicians have time to address them properly rather than rushing between emergency calls.
Savannah winters are unpredictable. We might coast through December in short sleeves, then wake up to 34 degrees in mid-January. Your heating system has been dormant for months—and that first cold night isn’t the time to discover it won’t start.
A fall tune-up verifies your heating system is ready before you need it. For heat pumps, we ensure the reversing valve and defrost controls are functioning properly. For gas furnaces, we verify safe combustion and reliable ignition. Either way, you’ll know your system will respond when the temperature drops.
Heat Pump Heating Components We test reversing valve operation to ensure proper switchover to heating mode, verify defrost cycle controls are functioning correctly, check auxiliary heat strips for proper operation (your backup when temperatures drop into the thirties), and inspect the outdoor unit for damage or debris accumulation.
Gas Furnace Safety and Performance We inspect the heat exchanger for cracks or deterioration—a safety-critical component that can leak carbon monoxide into your home. We clean and inspect burners for proper flame pattern, test ignition system reliability, verify gas pressure and combustion efficiency, inspect flue and venting for proper draft and clearances, and test all safety controls including limit switches and flame sensors.
System-Wide Inspection We replace your air filter (if supplied) or remind you to do so, inspect blower motor and verify proper airflow, test thermostat heating mode operation and calibration, inspect and tighten all electrical connections, clear condensate lines (yes, heat pumps produce condensate in heating mode too), and document system condition and performance.
Carbon Monoxide Safety For gas furnaces, we test combustion gases and verify safe operation. We recommend all homes with gas appliances maintain working carbon monoxide detectors—and we’ll tell you if we observe anything concerning during our inspection.
Gas furnace ignitors fail most often on first startup after months of dormancy. Heat pump defrost controls that worked fine in cooling mode may malfunction when heating season arrives. Waiting until you need heat to discover these problems means shivering while you wait for service—and paying emergency rates during peak demand periods.

At Carriage® Heating & Cooling, we don’t limit you to one brand—we’re authorized dealers for three of the industry’s most trusted names: Carrier, Rheem, and Trane. This means you get access to the best equipment for your specific needs, not just whatever one manufacturer happens to offer.

As an authorized dealer we provide:
Not every HVAC company can call themselves an authorized dealer. This designation requires ongoing training, certification, and a proven track record of quality installations and customer satisfaction. Fewer than 5% of dealers nationwide achieve and maintain this status with even one major brand—we’ve earned it with three.
Why Authorized Dealer Status Matters
When you work with Carriage, you’re getting a team that meets the highest standards set by Carrier, Lennox, and Trane. That means proper installation techniques, access to full product lines, and warranty support directly backed by the manufacturer.
